Building His House
Dear Friend,
We would like to take this opportunity to let you know that we are excited and humbled about the growth of the congregation in our City Blessing Church at Temple City (Temple City City Blessing Church). It is overwhelming to see what God is doing through this ministry.
We have been ministering in the City of Temple City since 1998. In 1999 we rented a larger building to accommodate the growing number of church attendance. Now we have more than 300 members and we held two services because the sanctuary is not enough for all of us. The children ministry grows extensively from 30 to 70 children. Our cell group leaders also doubled within 4 years. Our equipping and spiritual foundation classes grow fast and also the young people and the youth groups.
That’s a good problem. However we have to pay an increasing rent every year because we use more spaces and more times. The need to have our own building is urgent now.
From time to time in the past we have raised funds for building fund account and until now we have $80,000 in it. We are committed to do it more aggressively this year. We know that what we have done in the past is not enough, we are going to transform the city and the community as our vision is “transforming the world for God”.
Our ministry has sent foods and medicines to the third world countries in the amount worth of more than $4 millions. We also work with the local city to provide support in disaster preparedness and food outreach program. In the future we plan to start our thrift store, health assistance for low income, senior citizen program, children day care, and vocational training.
We encourage you to sow into this ministry, not because of what we have done in the past, but because the future of our next generation. The bible says, “give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38 NKJV).
